"Operated by a group of senior volunteers, this non-profit restaurant has become a local institution and tourist attraction... in the heart of the village." - The Ottawa Citizen.

The Miller's Oven has been serving breakfast, lunch and coffee in a 2-story heritage house since 1983. Its décor includes beautiful antique sideboards, seasonal decorations, and original art displayed by members of the Manotick Art Association.

You can see the food being prepared from scratch daily in the open efficient kitchen. The friendly relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices bring people back again and again. The dedicated volunteers create a warm environment that welcomes everyone to this very special place in the of the village of Manotick.

Located on historic Mill Street, the Miller's Oven is the perfect place to stop while visiting  Watson's Mill, Dickinson House museum, the used book store in the Carriage House or the farmers market in Dickinson Square.

The Miller's oven accepts payment by cash or debit.

Special Events

We are proud to host special events, such as High Tea, from time to time.  Please "Like" us on Facebook, to keep informed of these events, and to check out weekly specials.  The Miller's Oven celebrates Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, and Canada Day with corresponding decorations and meals.

The Food

Best described as "comfort food", our menu items are never deep-fried, and seasoned sparingly.  Every day our cook produces a delicious "soup of the day" to be savored either alone, perhaps with a home-made scone, or to complement another menu item.  Miller's Oven desserts are famous, especially the "mile-high lemon pie".

As well as for breakfast or lunch, customers often stop in for coffee or tea, with a muffin, scone, or dessert at any time.

Tea is served in a tea-pot with a hand-knit tea cozy and a fine china cup and saucer!
